City Council, Potluck, Taste of Anaheim

It appears the Ciy Council campaign of Gail Eastman is coming out strong, no wonder, she has the backing of the "Who's Who of Anaheim". Her campaign headquarters officially opens this weekend with a Grand Opening Party on Friday June 27th, from 5:30 pm to 9. Donations of $35 per person and $50 per couple support Gail's campaign. Jerry's Dogs will be serving up hot dogs, and a no host beer and wine bar will be offered. Campaign Headquarters are at 301 N. Anaheim Blvd Suite C. RSVP to (714) 768-2925.

The Anaheim Colony Historic District is also hosting the monthly potluck Thursday, June 26th. This month's festivities are at the "Castle House", owned by Helen and Carol Garner. The Garner sisters recently won the Anaheim Historical Society's coveted Margaret Atkins Award for Historic Preservation, for their lifestyle of serial restoration. The ladies are obsessive about every detail of their projects, and a visit to one of their homes is not to be missed. The potluck is at 727 N. Harbor, beginning at 7 pm. Bring a dish to share, and your favorite beverage. NOTE: there is NO PARKING on Harbor Blvd.

Sadly, one must choose between a visit to the Castle House and the Taste of Anaheim, hosted at the Grove tonight. The event features Orange County's finest restaurants sharing their best food, beginning at 5:30 pm.
